Located two kilometres outside Caherciveen, Leacanabuaile is the ruin of a seventh century stone fort that was built as a farm defense.
The car park itself can only accommodate five cars so if intending to bring large generators for lighting or HGVs, good logistics would be required for parking and dropping off equipment so as not to obstruct the local traffic. The one-hundred metre path from the car park to the fort can only be travelled on foot.
