Kells Bay

It is a secluded beach and pier flanked by mountains to the West, East and South. The beach itself faces North to the Dingle peninsula across the Atlantic ocean. Commercial vans can drive on the pier itself and the car park can hold about twenty cars. The public toilets are subject to closing times depending on the season. Access to Kells Bay is via a country road off the N70 so for HGVs it can be hard to navigate, particularly during the summer season when meeting oncoming traffic. Kells Bay House and Gardens is located two hundred metres from the beach, providing a coffee shop, Thai restaurant, toilets, WiFi and more parking spaces. This is a worthy location in itself offering a period house and sub-tropical gardens.
